Das Programm durchsucht eine Windows-Installation nach Spyware. Findet SpyBot verdächtige Software auf dem PC, kann es die für die Werbung und das Spionieren zuständigen Teile entfernen, ohne die Funktion der Software zu beeinträchtigen.

Freeware für Win 98 bis Vista auch 64 Bit

Die kostenlose Anti-Spyware Spybot Search&Destroy ist in Version 1.5 erschienen. Die Entwickler haben ihrer Ankündigung zufolge unter anderem die Erkennungsroutinen verbessert und beschleunigt. Außerdem unterstützt Spybot Search&Destroy nun offiziell Windows Vista – und auch auf dem Betriebssystem-Oldie Windows 95 soll die Software wieder laufen.

Die neue Version zeichnet sich vor allem durch viele kleine Verbesserungen aus. So lassen sich jetzt 64-Bit-Systeme immunisieren, neue Immunisierungen für Firefox, Mozilla und eine verbesserte Unterstützung für Opera sind hinzugekommen. Der Updater ist nun ein eigenständiges Programm und soll unter Vista nicht mehr abstürzen. Die Entwickler haben außerdem einige Speicherlecks beseitigt. Zahlreiche weitere Änderungen finden sich im Changelog. Die Software steht ab sofort auf der Webseite des Herstellers zum Download bereit.

Spybot-S&D 1.6.3.51 Beta - Gratis Spyware-Suche

Spybot - Search & Destroy ist ein kostenloser Spyware-Scanner, der Spyware sowie andere Arten von Schädlingen entfernt. Bei Spyware handelt es sich um Schadsoftware, die Daten des Nutzers ohne dessen Einverständnis weitergibt.

Das Tool bietet eine so genannte Immunisierungsfunktion, die alle gängigen Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera) präventiv vor Spyware schützen soll. Ein Modul namens TeaTimer, das auf Wunsch permanent im Hintergrund läuft, soll Windows im laufenden Betrieb vor unerwünschten Aktionen durch Spyware bewahren.

Zusätzlich liegen der Software einige Werkzeuge bei, so zum Beispiel ein Scanner, der verwaiste Einträge in der Registry aufspürt, oder ein Autostart-Manager, der die beim Windows-Start ladenden Anwendungen verwalten kann. Die Signaturen von Spybot werden von den Entwicklern regelmäßig aktualisiert und lassen sich über die integrierte Update-Funktion aktualisieren.

Die Funktionen im Überblick:

    * Entfernung von Spyware, Adware, Dialern, Keyloggern sowie Trojanern
    * Erstellung eines Backups vor dem Löschvorgang
    * hohe Scangeschwindigkeit
    * präventives Blockieren von Gefahren in Webbrowsern
    * zahlreiche Werkzeuge (Registry-Cleaner, Autostart-Manager, Uninstaller uvm.)
    * Auswahlmöglichkeit zwischen normalem und erweitertem Programmmodus (für Anfänger respektive Fortgeschrittene)
    * integrierte Update-Funktion


In dieser Beta-Version haben die Entwickler unter anderem einen Fehler behoben, der die Anwendung zum Stocken brachte, wenn man während einer automatischen Überprüfung versuchte, auf die Schaltfläche zum Abbrechen zu klicken.

Remember it is a beta and as such not a replacement for the stable version 1.6.2.

Known issues:

    Tests on Windows 8 are not completely finished
    This version does not offer the Live Protection component
    SDChrome has been removed; the web browser extensions will be rewritten using a more flexible concept.
