Beta 1
First thing you need to know: This is beta version and therefore, many bugs possible.
* DVBCore engine has been rewritten at 99% to fit into H264 requirements and make it more flexible for future development
* Cards not providing full TS packets and/or has not-possible-to-disable PID filters are (and will be) not supported in version 4. These cards are Nexus/SkyStar1, Broadlogic/VBox cards, USB1.1 cards. For those cards version 3 of MyTheatre should be used.
* Currently supported cards:
- All BDA DVBS/DVBS2 compatible cards through generic BDA interface (8PSK transponders supported only if card support automatic Modulation/FEC search)
- All BDA DVBC/DVBT/ATSC
- All TeVii cards
- Technisat SkyStar2 through official SDK. (see note below)
- Technotrend Budget PCI (DVBS and DVBS2) through WDM drivers (Tested on S3200 PCI board)
- Technotrend Budget PCI and USB (DVBS and DVBS2) through BDA drivers (Tested on S3200 PCI board)
- Genpix 8PSK boards.
- DVBTech 8PSK board.
- Hauppauge HVR4000
- Twinhan cards (probably all)
Support for other cards will be added later as soon as it will be possible.
* Main recording format now is Transport Stream (.ts) as more universal. All active PIDs for current channel will be recorded. It means all audio streams, subtitles, etc.. will be recorded as well. While playback such files, user will able to choose required audio track and subtitles (if present). Most modern players are able to play .ts files as well.
About H264 codecs:
so far, all tested codecs are working. Stability mostly depends on codec itself.
I suggest PowerDVD 8 decoders. Just install PowerDVD 8 and then its decoders will be available for choose in MyTheatre Autograph settings.
Some H264 decoders, such as PowerDVD, MPC-HC support Hardware Video Acceleration (DXVA). If you have Video Card supporting DXVA for H264 then CPU loading on H264 channels will be around 2-5% only(!).
In short, for H264 DXVA you need:
1) PowerDVD 8 or MPC-HC (june build)
2) proper VGA card (i tested on ATI HD2600XT and ATI HD3200)
3) for Windows XP video renderer should be Video Mixing Renderer 7/9. For Vista video renderer should be Enhanced Video Renderer
Beta 2
Beta-2 is Out!
- improved H264 stream handling. Now MyTheatre should not crash on broken stream
- Updated satellite database (Thanks to Winston for North American part). Please note that satellite database will not update if you install MyTheatre into the same folder. You need either remove channels.mdb and epg.mdb or install MyTheatre into new folder to get updated database.
- now you can import multiple satellite INI files. MyTheatre now accepts FEC and Modulation parameters (for example 11590,V,27500,910,S2 or 12110,H,20000,23,Turbo-8PSK)
- some other minor fixes
Beta 3
- Fixed problem with Twinhan cards.
- more improvements in H264 stream handling.
- CSA is not a part of MyTheatre now. You have to use FFDeCSA if need. Please note, MyTheatre is NOT compatible with MMX version of FFDeCSA (due to nature of MMX). Please use FFDecsa_32_INT.dll which is almost as fast as MMX version. Put FFDecsa_32_INT.dll into Plugins folder.
Google for FFDeCSA.
- TimeShift has 2 modes now. Always On/On by Pause. You can switch it in Settings->TimeShift.
- some other bugs fixed and improvements in playback and live view modes.
Beta 4

- Main new feature is ability to use several cards (DVBS+DVBT/ATSC+DVBC) at the same time. Please note, you need to use physically separated cards. Cards like Hauppauge HVR4000 can be used only as one standard either DVBS or DVBT, not both at the same time
- Some other enhancements in playback/live modes. AC3Filter is now supported.
Beta 5

I suggest to use PowerDVD decoders for both MPEG2 and H264 channels. Today PowerDVD's are most stable decoders. It also consume least CPU loading and with proper Video Driver support Hardware acceleration for MPEG2 and H264 (if video card supports it).

- MyTheatre is unicode compatible now (except OSD). So, non-english file names, channel names, EPG , etc. should be displayed correctly.
MyTheatre code has been changed a lot to make it unicode compatible.

Theatre Beta Beta-10
- added support for Technotrend S2-3650CI. May be CT-3650CI will work as well.
- fixed problem with EPG appeared in beta-9. Re-scan for all channels scaned in beta-9 required!
- added display number in all sorting mode.
- (n)/(a) mark on sort buttons indicating number/alpha sorting. It can be changed by second click on the same button.
- Option to copy Channel name to Provider name while scan (Misc. Settings)
- Option to copy SID to Channel number while scan (Misc. Settings)
- Added "Optimize for NA" button into expert settings. It sets scan parameters suitable for North American providers.

- add IVR mode with screen resolution. In this mode quality of video will be as good as in simple non-IVR mode.
