Hi ritchibie,
good to see you here once more. What you mention is limitation (how i see it) from the ms installer build (made with visual studio), it's required to remove previous versions (still need to upgrade to some other install tool, but believe it or not, to make a good install could take lots of time, in my eyes often too much, sometimes even more then building the app itself so i refrain from that atm). But like dada mentions, you should be able to make a copy of all sdvb files, with the data files at the same folder without issues. You should even be able to run multiple copies like that (people do that for multiple sat devices sometimes). Version 0.3.0+ btw does a check at start for a 'settings/settings.ini' at the local application data folder, if that file's seen it's presumed the data files should be present at that appdata folder (which would interefere with multiple same folder setups so just mention that for the future or if problems occur with respect to that).
br,
jack
edit: btw if you would have upgraded the install should've queried to backup some files (amongst which smartdvb.exe), but ofcourse you didn't upgrade so the .msi setup removed the previous version.
