Thema: DLNA-Server? Wenn ja, welcher und wie einrichten?

Gaaaanz langsam komme ich ja auch - medientechnisch - in der Jetzt-Zeit an. Angeregt von meinem (via Hybrid-TV) netzfähigen neuen TV im Schlafzimmer, habe ich mich in die Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) Thematik kurz eingelesen. Es geht dabei um die Fähigkeit des Heimnetzwerks, alle freigegebenen Medieninhalte im Netz verfügbar zu haben. Im konkreten Fall: Die freigegebenen Medieninhalte meines PC und des Notebooks meiner Frau auf den im Netz angeschlossenen Fernseher im Schlafzimmer "streamen" (manche schreiben auch: "beamen") zu können.

Grundvorraussetzung dafür scheint eine Server-Software auf einem der Geräte zu sein (vorzugsweise wahrscheinlich der "schnelle" PC). Serversoftware mit Stand vom 10/9/2011 ist hier hxxp://www.rbgrn.net/content/21-how-to-choose-dlna-media-server-windows-mac-os-x-or-linux?page=7 aufgeführt (englisch). Dabei stechen einem auf die Schnelle 2 kostenpflichtige (twonky und nero Mediahome) und das kostenlose Microsoft Windows Media Connect (anscheinend gibt's letzteres aber nur für XP SP2) in's Auge. Für Linux-basierte Rechner gibt's die natürlich auch, da habe ich jetzt aber nicht so nachgeschaut.

Meine Frage dazu: Hat jemand schon so eine Server-Software laufen, vor allem in Hinblick auf einen netzeingebundenen TV? Wenn ja, läuft's ohne Probleme und gibt's eine praxisorientierte Kurzanleitung für die Installation und den Betrieb der Soft? Ich weisss zumindest von dada, dass er an diesem Thema interessiert ist und von Jürgen nehme ich an, dass er sowas am laufen hat bzw. hatte. SiL, als Windows Server Spezialist, hat evtl. auch sowas auf der Platte. Ich verlass' mich lieber auf Tipps hier aus dem Forum, anstatt selber irgendwelchen Schnickschnack auszuprobieren!

PS3 Media Server, mittlerweile in Version 1.50.1 zu haben, ist eine Streaming-Software für Windows und Linux. Sie ist mittels Java realisiert und streamt mittlerweile, nicht vom Namen abschrecken lassen, nicht nur auf die Playstation 3.

Jedes Gerät, welches einen DLNA- oder UPnP-Stream abfangen kann, kann mit  dem PS3 Media Server bedient werden. So kann man sich Filme und Co direkt vom Rechner an die Konsole oder den TV schicken, sofern dieser das unterstützt, logischerweise werden auch Tablets und Smartphones unterstützt.

Erst die (Fritz)Box checken und die entsprechenden Optionen (ausser siehe weiter unten) ankreuzen.
Ich habe die Version 1.20.412 heruntergeladen (ist eine .exe) mit Doppelklick installiert und nach der Installation des Programms hat sich dieses selbst die benötigte Java-Runtime-Umgebung aus dem Netz geladen und installiert (Vorsicht: das dauert seine Zeit, einfach mal geduldig sein!). Danach habe ich die Applikation gestartet und diesen Schirm gesehen:


Keine Angst! Ich bin dann zum Fernseher, habe ihn eingeschalten und unter den Einstellungen "Netzwerk\Netzwerk-Mediaplayer" (Programmpunkt beim Toshiba) nach etwa 7, 8 Minuten (dauert bei WLAN etwas länger) den PS3 Media Player gefunden (unterhalb dem Fritzbox-Eintrag). Den habe ich angeklickt und konnte sofort in alle Verzeichnisse meines PC Einsicht nehmen und meine Erstversion des Urlaubsvideos ansehen!

Sicher hat man (zumindest ich) ein mulmiges Gefühl, wenn man die Sicherheitseinstellungen an der Fritzbox verändern muss, aber ich hab dann diese Funktion (Änderungen der Sicherheitseinstellungen über UPnP gestatten) abgestellt und bin trotzdem mit dem TV auf meine Daten gekommen  

Fazit: das Programm ist kostenlos, relativ einfach zu installieren, funktioniert und es gibt es auch für den Pinguin!

Ich habe ein DLNA Problem. Ich habe ein BD-taugliches Laufwerk auf dem Rechner. Ich kann über DLNA (Servio oder DVB-RS) normale DVDs am TV abspielen, indem ich einfach den Pfad zum Laufwerk und der ersten Video Datei in die Quellen eingebe. Bei BDs geht das auch, aber das Video wird quasi im Zeitraffer abgespielt. Blöderweise habe ich bis jetzt keine Möglichkeit gefunden, das zu ändern. Kann natürlich sein, dass mein TV das einfach nicht auf die Reihe kriegt. Hat irgendwer damit Erfahrung?
