Today we are very pleased to announce the release of a new version of Opera.

It’s based on Chromium version 101.0.4951.64.

What’s new?

With this release we would like to make Easy Files even easier for your daily routine, so we’re introducing the ability to select multiple files. Easy Files now shows a checkbox when a file is hovered over. Clicking a checkbox makes Easy Files enter Multi-select mode, letting you choose multiple files and upload them all at once.

We’re happy to announce that Opera 88 enters beta today.

We’re keeping up with Chromium, which is version 102.0.5005.22 in this build. There’s a small correction in the address dropdown feature, and we’ve also enabled city information at the bottom. When typing any city name, after 3 letters we recognize and suggest the names of cities. Also, using AccuWeather location autocomplete, the bottom of address dropdown now includes weather information, along with Google Maps and hotels suggestions based on Booking matches for that city.

Known issues: New chromium-ffmpeg snap is not released yet so decoding videos, eg. H.264 won’t be possible for Linux snap packages.
