Klassische Kanalliste spielt verrückt...
« am: 06 April, 2014, 22:41 »
Hallo,

English summary:
I've got a problem when I activate the "classical" channel list. There are duplicate categories in the Fav Tab, when I switch from the modern (graphical) channel layout to the classical - for an example, see above. Can someone reproduce this behaviour? When I switch back to the modern UI, then everything's fine again.

And a feature wish: I have two DVB-S cards, and I'd like to use SmartDVB for both. At the moment, the timers get mingled.. for instance, the programmed stop of one record on card A terminates the simultaneous record of card B...

Danke/Thanks
Matthias

Wie versprochen: Die alte Statusbar kann man über "View --> Show default (legacy) status bar" anschalten. Vielen Dank dada!

Hi Dragonix,

Zitat
Can someone reproduce this behaviour? When I switch back to the modern UI, then everything's fine again.

No, i can't reproduce that. In the classic channel list mode i created two new favorite categories named "Dritte" and "DritteHD" and put some channels into them, as you did. No duplication occured here with Win 7 Prof x64 and SmartDVB 0.3.5. After that i switched to graphical channel list, also without dublication of the new fav categories.

But i slightly remember some problems that occured after direct updating from 0.3.0 to 0.3.5. I had to make a clean reinstallation to solve them. If "migration to 0.3.5" means also updating from 0.3.0, perhaps a clean reinstallation might help you, too?

I also did not encounter any problems of this kind on my W7pro 64-bit system. I also installed fron scratch, because, if I remember correctly, Jack had modified the database at that time?

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

About your problems/issues.

1) yes indeed, i can confirm there is a problem with the current classical favorite view. I don't remember if the problem you describe here was exactly what i fixed a while ago, but sounds pretty close. It was related to the new drag/drop sorting if i remember correctly. This should be fixed with the current builds i have here.

2) I understand the problem you're having with the multiple instances from a technical point of view (which means there's a problem there for sure). I'll try to revise the scheduling logic to solve this if possible. If you'd like to test these modifications just let me know i'll send you some test builds when ready.

Quite busy with the next beta's/release. Some people reported memory issues with win7, anyone here else experienced such? Other people here ready for some test rounds?

Hi,
thanks for your answer!

1) Ok, sounds great :). However, as it's possible to customise the modern channel list, it's not thaaaat important. However, to be honest, i still miss the classicel view ;). Of course, if my description wasn't clear enough, I can post a picture of the problem.

2) Yes, I would like to test your modifications. I don't think that it's a big problem: When you create a task in SmartDVB a "windows task" is planned. The action in this Windows task is defined as "Run program: C:\....\CardXYZ\SmartExec.exe /A /Lot /Of /Parameters". And now, I guess that SmartExec just searches for one running SmartDVB and, if there is one instance running, it tells that instance to run the record... However, I think you changed something here, and I'll try it again...

Thanks!

Hi,

No probs, the more feedback the better :)..

1) i realise that, but it seems quite a number of people still prefer the plain vanilla windows (besides that the main reason i left those lists is that they're accessible, believe it or now even blind people use smartdvb for listening to radio or for their families). Picture is not needed, i'm quite sure i corrected some issues there..

2) Yes you're totally correct about your assesment of the smartexec problem. I think i already see a possible fix for that, would just require a modified smartexec.exe. I'll send you this modified smartexec.exe when i've done the changes and tested some (would be quite serious if that's buggy since it might break scheduling for people, so will require thorough testing)..

regards,
Jack
